Professional Healers and Practitioners of the Sahaptan Healing Way are well grounded in fundamental Nemenhah Medicine Wheel Ceremony to which they have added any number of specific Natural Healing Modalities, as accredited by an overseeing Pehli Council commissioned by the Nehm Tiwehkthihmpt to ascertain and attest to the healer's competence. Fully accredited by their Pehli Council, the aspiring Nemenhah Practitioner must apply for and receive his or her Ministerial License from the Office of the Nehm Tiwehkthihmpt.
The licensed Nemenhah Practitioner is thereby authorized to professionally practice their sacred healing arts, within the framework of Bona-Fide Nemenhah Ceremony, in any State within the United States of America, protected from burdensome regulation by government agencies and/or organizations, wherein the following Federal Statutes are enforced:

How to Become a Licensed Nemenhah Practitioner:
In ancient times, a student would apprentice under their Pehli (Mentor, Teacher) for ten to fifteen years before the student was spiritually adopted into that Pehli's clan and bloodline (if the student was not a blood relative already, as was most common), given a new name, and then would be permitted to serve another village as a Medicine Man/Woman him/herself.
While we maintain many of the old customs, our Pehli (elders) decided that fifteen years' apprenticeship is not especially practical nowadays, so we've necessarily adapted the old custom to better accommodate the modern world.
The process to become a licensed Nemenhah Practitioner (a.k.a. Nemenhah Medicine Man or Woman) is straight forward and comprises the following steps:

The process to become a licensed Nemenhah Practitioner (a.k.a. Nemenhah Medicine Man or Woman) is straight forward and comprises the following steps:
- Education in Sahaptan Medicine Wheel Ceremony (the fundamental cultural orientation and praxis of modern-day Nemenhah), or an equivalent course of study provided by one of the recognized Orders, Societies, Lodges, or Clans within the Nemenhah (the only distance education option at this time, however, is the Medicine Wheel Training program offered by the Sacred Order of Lehb [a.k.a. "Nemenhah Church."])
- Spiritual Adoption into one of the recognized Orders, Societies, Lodges, or Clans within the Nemenhah proper (Medicine Wheel training is provided by Yuhwihkihn Pehli [a.k.a. "Windwalkers"] of the Sacred Order of Lehb, for example.)
- Accreditation and Certification through our Pehli Council (a dedicated council of elders comprised of Ph.D.'s and leaders in Allopathic, Naturopathic, Functional, Holistic, and Traditional Nemenhah Medicine, as well as tenured Pehli, Shamans and Traditional Spiritual Leaders within the Nemenhah.) This accreditation and certification is renewed annually.
- Ministerial License required by the Nemenhah State FRM for any professional ministerial practice within the United States (Ministerial Licensure is not required for personal and non-professional home practice), this license permits the Minister to use any of the logos, seals, ceremonies, and texts provided by the Nemenhah in his or her professional practice.
