Books and Training Materials

One of the ways in which the Nemenhah Program is able to provide training on a donation basis is by requiring you to purchase your own library. Some of the Books and Training Materials are provided in the curriculum. You will need to purchase the remainder of the materials. The books used are easily obtained from your local bookseller, or you may have to order them. The titles, authors and ISBN numbers are provided for you in this Catalog. You will find that the books around which the course worksheets are based will continue to be of use to you. You will not be able to satisfactorily complete the worksheets and the exams without the books we recommend.

Medicine Man / Medicine Woman

To qualify as a Sahaptan Medicine Man or Woman, you must be a Spiritually Adopted Member of the Nemenhah Band and Native American Traditional Organization and you must be progressing through the following courses. These Courses are required for all four Educational Tracks:

MM-101 Introduction to Ceremonial Healing - Introduction to the Sacred Medicine Wheel, Phillip Cloudpiler Landis, Nemenhah Publishing, available online.

MM-102 Wyakin Lectures – available online; Equivalent - Wyakin Series, Part 1 DVD, Actaeon Publishing through Nemenhah; 20 Hrs.
